The world’s largest Victorian glasshouse will once again be home – as it had been since its birth in 1863 – to some of the world’s rarest and most threatened plants. ![]() On 5 May, the doors of its spectacular Temperate House will be thrown open, revealing 10,000 breathtaking plants, making this magnificent structure the true jewel in Kew’s crown – an architectural wonder, horticulturists’ haven, the most captivating of classrooms. Kew Gardens is in the final month of the largest restoration project in its entire history.
